Description :

Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate(MES) is quite gentle to skin.Even of high consistence,MES still remains low irritation.It also has good cleaning ability,resistance to hard water,medium foaming ability,easiness of rinsing,good smoothness and biodegradation.Meanwhile,it owns perfect solubilising and viscosity adjusting functions.In liquid washing products,it will reduce the irrtation of other anionic surfactants.Especially compounded with AES,it has a more obvious effect.It causes low irritation to skin and eyes.

Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate is a cleaning agent that is gentle to skin. Even in high consistency, it still causes little irritation. It also has good cleaning ability, resistance to hard water, medium foaming ability, easiness of rinsing, good smoothness and biodegradation. It’s found in 95% of commercial shampoos (Source) and acts as a degreaser by binding to dirt and oil on the hair and scalp. It leaves hair clean and shiny and is also found in bubble bath, facial and hand cleanser, dishwasher detergent, etc. Basically, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate is found in any cleaning agent that foams.

Application :

With medium cleaning ability and weak degreasing force,Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate(MES) is widely used in application in shampoo,bubble bath,facial cleanser,hand cleaner,dishware detergent,and detegent of down clothes.It is especially suitable for confection of baby washing products of low irritation.In addition,owning to its good lubuication and resistance to hard water,and excellent solubilising performance,it can also be used as industrial liquid detergent.

Side Effects ：

Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate is very gentle and causes low irritation to skin and eyes. However, many sources claim that MES is carcinogenic because it contains surfactants, which can be contaminated with nitrosamines. It is true that MES is used in car washes, engine degreasers, and other products used on an industrial level, but is generally considered gentle when used in low concentrations such as in health care products.
